I can meet you online via secure video calls or for in-person appointments in a quiet and comfortable therapy room at Oscailt, 8 Pembroke Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4, D04 F597

I work with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions including parenting, relationship challenges, identity concerns, sexuality issues, grief and loss and navigating neurodivergence (diagnosed or not) among others.
-
Sessions are usually 50-60 minutes long. Most people start with weekly sessions, but we can adjust based on your needs.
-
Yes, confidentiality is a core part of therapy. There are a few legal exceptions, which I’ll go over clearly in our first session.
-
The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and figure out if my practice is the right fit for you. We'll talk about what brings you to therapy and what you’re hoping for. There is no obligation to return following this. It is normal to feel nervous at the beginning of therapy, but rest assured that I will do my best to provide a confidential, comfortable space to help you feel at ease.
-
To book a free 15 minute consultation or a full appointment, you can get in touch through my contact form or email me directly at drmicheladevaney.com to schedule an initial session.
-
Therapy looks different for everyone. Some people come for a few sessions to work through something specific, while others engage in longer-term work. We’ll discuss your goals and check in regularly.
-
Yes — my practice is focused on adults aged 18 and over.
-
You don’t need to have a diagnosis or a clear reason to start therapy. If something’s on your mind or you’re feeling off balance, that’s reason enough.
-
My fee is €120 per session.
-
Payment is made by electronic transfer before each session. I accept bank transfers and Revolut. Full payment details will be provided after your appointment is confirmed.
-
Please give at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice, or no-shows, will be charged the full session fee. I appreciate your understanding as this policy helps me maintain availability for all clients. I understand that unexpected events happen, and I do take emergencies into account at my discretion.

Fiáin (pronounced fee-awn) is an Irish word meaning "wild" or "untamed." It speaks to the natural, authentic parts of ourselves — the parts that exist beyond expectations, pressures, or past wounds. At Fiáin Counselling, I believe healing is about reconnecting with your true self: free, whole, and alive.
